The Olmstead Family mourns the death of a professional

Olmstead’s family released a statement in which they claimed that a bizarre incident at his house, specifically a collapsing wall, caused his death.

Scott Wachtel, the crewmember’s sister-in-law, gave this statement to 11 Alive about the tragic incident: “The garage was closed, and a parked van was right here (in front of the garage), so he couldn’t run towards the garage, nor away from the garage, because the wall over here was collapsing, so he had no place to run.”

Wachtel continued by saying: “Our world right now would be a completely different place if he went out there five or ten minutes earlier.”
